Farewell my Friends

A dying race of avian-like mecha alien species that helped the human civilization with our technology etc etc is assured that we'll be able to survive on our own, so they've decided to leave our planet.

This is to bade farewell.. Wanted to add more humans initially, and having the person in the alien's hand to be someone important? But yeah I concluded with a much more personal feel; a more private farewell, intimate relationship shared between 2 species.. Think of it as sending a love one off alone at the airport..

I'm not particularly satisfied with my 'smoke' though... nevermind I'll continue to improve!!

Also one of my rarest moment; a very serious attempt at digital painting.. So if you truly wanna judge my standard, use this as a bench mark.. Since the rest are just quick practices or boredom killers done in army..

I kinda figured it's about time I stop goofing around DA and actually post more serious stuff like this, though I'm still learning digital painting and concept art by myself..

Did this on and off.. Started out as a speed paint, approx. 4-5 hours?? Yeah.. Intuos 3/CS2..
